Upton Park Welcomes Ince Back (!): 30th August

Paul Ince has officially been appointed the new Blackburn Rovers boss (BBC Sport).

Not technically West Ham news I guess, but let’s be honest….when we play them on the 30th August at Upton Park, it’s going to be a very enjoyable experience.

I’m not entirely sure he is the best man for the job and if can be as bold as to say, I will have him down as one of the favourites to be the first manager to get the sack next year.

Now that is bold.

And I also know that people do completely differ in opinion, so would be interested to hear from any Blackburn or MK Dons fans if you are reading this as to what you think about your appointment/your loss?

  1. Rovers are probably at the peak of what they can achieve with the current owners and being a small town club without a local population big enough to sustain a large fan base. So we have got to take a gamble as we have here. Time well tell if it pays off or not. We would have to card Derby-like results for him to be handed the sack before Christmas. You think Hammers fans would want the guy to do well – if it doesn’t work out for us you can take him on to replace Curbs, who is nailed on favourite to get the chop!

  2. sorry thecisone, either you’re on a wind up or don’t remember the history. a lot of us would rather die first and johnny lyall would turn in his grave. he will NEVER be welcome at our ground. he gets too close as it is visiting his in laws in dagenham.
