I couldn’t agree more with Sam’s observation, that our Jamo is indeed better than the petulant Anton.

Who, this time and quite hilariously, seems to have issued a ‘give me a pay rise or I’ll leave’ feint too many times for the board’s liking.

Yep, it seems as though his ill-advised attempt ‘once again’ to play aforementioned brinkmanship at the expense of the Hammers, has backfired. ‘So’ dramatically, that his face now resembles the World record for the largest over-cooked omlette.

It is also looking increasingly likely that Blunderland ‘will’ be his ‘final’ destination, haha – no other bugger wants him – and despite his hestation this week that he might wish to pull back from the ‘brink’, I think the club have quite rightly funked him off completely, with no avenue back.

Frankly, good riddance !

No, on the contrary, I would suggest that right now, and for the rest of his career, he will rue this move as a colossal error, which by his own hand, is discernibly stuck ‘full pelt’ in reverse gear.
He will never play for England lodged in the Stadium Of Shite, not that he ever would have done anyway.

I am of the sincere opinion, that like his brother, he actually believed that one of the top clubs would make a move. Not even a hair’s twitch , Anton – unlucky, mate!

Despite funking up the team photo, (Sniggers) I really like this guy, and have since the first time I saw him.

He knows his limitations, and the injury was more than unfortunate, but he always gives 110% with even so much as a winge at a lino!

That’s always been important factor as far as I’m concerned. Yep, you’ve got to be at least ‘good’, but that coupled with giving your all in the Claret and Blue will always get my vote.

I sincerely hope the cruciate injury won’t interfere in the robust way that he always ‘goes through’ players .

His comeback performances seem to illustrate that that is not indeed the case – marvellous!

I for one, will be happy to see him back at he Boleyn – I just hope the injury curse doesn’t rear it’s ugly head again.

Mind you, I think his ‘shock’ of an almost incandescent barnet will have frightened that foul spectre away the first time around and for good. Let’s hope so.

If he ‘can’ stay fit, I think we’ll actually see the rise of a favourite over at the Hammers – I hope I’m right on that one – Go on Ginge !!!!!

To conclude, just a footnote on Anton.

It was only a few weeks past, that I heard this ‘div’ state that he would be able to leave the Hammers with his ‘head held high’ for the dis-service that he bestowed on the club.

I suppose we’ll see what type of greeting he gets when he returns to Upton Park – I don’t think there’ll be a ripple of ‘applause’, do you ?

In fact, I’m thinking that Curbishley may probably be thinking that Collins is an ideal replacement for Anton and will use the money to strengthen elsewhere. I personally think he is a better player than Anton.

I also agree that Sears needs more time…I just can’t see him being loaned out in the situation that we are in…even if he did bring in someone else, with the injury record that our frontline has, it is more than likely that Sears will need to stay around!
Zavon hines can go out on loan though….he looked quality in pre-season

i’d also be more than happy to bring in Givet and Appiah as has been reported recently

but i still think we need a striker, someone to compliment Ashton. i realise Bellamy would do this, but i’m slowly giving up hope that he’ll be fit for more than a few weeks at a time
and i think Sears needs a couple more years, maybe loan him for 6 months-a year?

West Ham and Sunderland are both decent sized clubs with plenty of potential. West Ham are more established as a top flight side and have more pulling power because they’re based in London.

I do genuinely think we’ll be establishing ourselves as a reasonably competitive midtable team over the next few years, though.
