Sam H has hit the nail completely on the head. How you can justify a £30m penalty let alone suggesting a bigger penalty Adam is beyond me. It appears very much like you’re taking the view of a) a pre-last day Wigan fan or b) a post-last day Sheffield United fan. That in itself speaks masses. Think about it logically for one small second. Sheffied United were only actively pursuing action against West Ham when it became clear to them that they could not even salvage a draw at home to Wigan. Continuing on ‘ifs’…If Sheffield United could hold on to a draw at home, would we even be having this discussion?! Probably not.

Another poignant piece in the debacle is the suggested £30m compensation value. One word, ridiculous. Sheffield United cannot possibly demand compensation for a firesale of players which was purely their decision. If Mcabe wanted to invest in ‘his’ club, he could of done so without the need to sell ‘star’ names.

If this £30m figure is accurate, and West Ham pay it, i am a true believer that the team would be left in such a state that fortunes may reverse.

adam, you silly t**t, you obviously have your head up mccabe’s backside. and where do you get the 60 million from? oh, i suppose they were going to go on a run and win the title this season had they stayed up? they appear to be struggling in the championship, so they have found their true level. mind you i wouldn’t mind them coming up, just so we could beat them home and away and send them down again.

Neither can you prove that Tevez gained or lost us points. You cannot base a court ruling on something that is unsubstantiated..

…What would happen if courts did that outside of football? Erm, I’m sorry Sir you drove past the shop twice earlier and that unfortunately means that I have no doubt you was intending to rob the shop.

No. West Ham cheated and the punishment isn’t enough. Sheffield United lost out on a possible £60 million had they stayed up the season after as well. If it was up to me, West Ham would be religated to the Blue square.
