Life Over Money Please West Ham [BMF Logo To Print Off For Your Shirt]

I realise that McBaby and his money grabbing Sheffield United believe that they deserve a £30m as a ‘well done’ for getting relegated.

I also realise that the club have claimed that “due to financial reasons” we cannot have the Bobby Moore Fund logo on our shirts for the rest of this season.

I would however like to put it to West Ham and the board that life is far more important than money. Earning £5m from an advertising deal doesn’t really help the people who could do with that sort of investment pumped into Cancer research. Infact, it doesn’t help them at all.

Here is a quote from “Bobby Moore” by Tina Moore:

It really sunk in how much he meant to the fans.

Forget the Prime Minister and Prince Charles, forget John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger.

That night Bobby Moore was the most famous man in England

As some light bedtime reading BG, I would wholly recommend this book….it may open your eyes to how much this player meant to West Ham, to England and to football.

Many people have designed logos etc to show what the logo would look like on our shirts, and how much more beneficial to pretty much everyone the BMF badge would be instead of squad numbers.

So I encourage everyone who reads this to click on the following link and print off the logo. It fits perfectly over the XL badge. Whether you safety pin it on, selotape it down print it onto special fabric and stitch it on. I’m pretty sure that noone will judge you.

Bobby Moore Shirt Logo To Print Off

I’m also inclined to believe that this is a perfectly financially viable way of getting the logo on our shirts.

Maybe just maybe, it will demonstrate to the club what this player and his cause mean to us fans.

If you can afford it however, then a donation from fans will beat any paper logo hands down! If you feel you can donate to the fund, then please Donate Here

  1. I agree with you in some way Sam, My site was the first to say why dont we use the Bobby Moore Fund as the logo until we find a new sponsor, but after we received a personal email from West Ham stating the reasons why, we actually and like Stephanie Moore now realise that West Ham contribute a hell of a lot to cancer and probably more than any other club and they also have a 3 year deal with the fund.
By all means i think its a great idea to put your own logo’s on your own shirts as i have done and all my family have done.. mine is the Bobby Moore fund.
Let us ask how many of the 15,000 fans that think it is a good idea have donated at £10 from their earnings to the fund, or at least £2 a month every month by direct debit?

  2. That’s a great point Joe, If everyone could do that it would make a huge difference.

May make more of a difference than the logo itself

I have updated the post with a link to the fund. I do understand the financial implications to the club and I you are right in that we do already fund the charity in a huge way.

It just pains me to think that it is hard for the club to bang the logo on there until a sponsor comes up

  3. This would appear a good opertunity whilst we have no official sponser to issue a Bobby Moore special memorial shirt for home and away based on the style of the 60/70′s shirts as Bobby would wear. A percentage of the sale price would be paid into the BM fund and the club can still make a profit on the shirts. Next season with a possible new sponser the situation will change and the opertunity missed. I am sure most supporters would want this one off limited edition shirt.

  4. And another good point kenny!

    I’d get involved

Does anyone know where you can get fabric to print on? Maybe even fabric that goes through your printer?

  5. Great idea kennyhammer and i for one would definately shell out the full over inflated price of a Bobby shirt if i knew some of the proceeds was going to the charity. But there lies the problem. Assuming West Ham attract a sponsor in the near future, i doubt if anyone would buy a new sponsor emblazened shirt over a Bobby shirt. Sadly for this reason i doubt if it will happen, even for a limited period.
After all, just how many shirts can us fans be tucked up with in one season ( excuse the pun)
