Did You Sign The Bobby Moore Logo Petition?

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make the Hull game, so I have to wait another week before I can write any more match reports. I’m certainly looking forward to writing about a Bellamy hat-trick against Arsenal though!

By all accounts though we played some good passing football, particularly in the first half…just couldn’t seem to be able to finish a packet of crisps. Consequence of having Carlton Cole as your main striker one would think! (He does work very hard for the team though, I will give him that!)

Anyways, this post is really for anyone who has signed the petition to to have the Bobby Moore Fund logo on our shirts, approximately 7000 of you. If you did sign it, but are yet to hear of (or donate to) the ‘West Ham Blogs’ initiative to raise £5000 for the fund, then I’ll briefly describe what we are upto.

Many of the blogs that feature on Newsnow.co.uk have got together to raise money for the BMF….as a show of solidarity, even though the club won’t put the logo on the shirts. The hope was for each of the people who signed the petition to donate a small amount towards the charity, just £2 each would raise around £14,000 for this quite exceptional cause.

Currently we stand at just shy of £200 (Gift Aid raises the total to about £240), but obviously we want more!!

So, if you signed the petition for the logo and are in favour of supporting the BMF, then dig deep for that £2 and let’s reach that target!

The Blogs involved so far are C’monYuIrons, Bubble-View, Rapid Hammer, West Ham Daily News, West Ham Blog and obviously The West Ham Process. If you’d like to get involved, send me an email: westhamprocess[at]onyahead[dot]com

  1. Why cant West Ham put the Logo on the shirts until they find a sponser? They have missed the chance to do it for 6 games now and even it was just for 1 game it would give this great charity more publicity. It would also show the club in a good light and please all the fans.
