Poll Results – Where Will We Finish Next Year?

Here are the poll results from last weeks poll asking you where you think we will finish next season – it would appear we are all reading from the same page!

Exactly 600 votes came in for this, so it’s fair cross section of opinion.

- 82% of people said that we expect anywhere from 5th-10th, 41% of which expect Europe and 41% don’t

- 12% think mid-table or lower obscurity

- 4% fancied Champions League

- 2% still holding out for the title

I will post another poll at close of the transfer window to see if it changes our minds (at this rate, probably not!)

  1. That’s a fair weight of expectation to get a good finish sam. Good luck for the campaign.

  2. Lets be honest, when our contempoaries are spending £millions, make that £10s of millions, and West Ham are spending nothing (Again), then any improvement on 9th is just wishful thinking.

  4. Are people feeling as uncomfortable as me for this coming season, or am I just the doom & gloom merchant? A paper thing & fairly lightweight squad, no proven quality coming in and a depleted defence tells me we should be happy with 17th place for next season – am I wrong?

  6. We will have a reasonable chance of finishing top half, but only with a decent, fit goalscorer. Without Ashton or a 15-goal-a-season replacement, we will struggle to score 35 goals this campaign. We’ve got a tough set of home fixtures to contend with in our first lot of fixtures and I’m worried that we could find ourselves in the drop zone come Christmas. Unless we improve our squad, I’m afraid to say I’d settle for any position above 18th. I’m simply astounded that 41% of fans believe we will make Europe this season. I hope they prove me wrong.
