Jack Collison’s performance last night, in spite of the crowd trouble and particularly because of his family situation, has caused a huge stir of well wishes from West Ham fans across the country. Actual West Ham fans that is not mindless idiots who fight in our name.
I felt it was important to compile these well wishes and send them over to the club for his attention…he has drummed up the upmost respect over the last few days and this page is an opportunity for you to leave your thoughts and sentiments to be sent to Upton Park.
So leave your thoughts using the comment box below and I will deal with the rest…
If you already run a website and would like to add comments already received to this list, then please leave a comment and I’ll get in touch
I have also written a post here regarding Jack Collison at Millwall

Over the last few days you have really shown somthing that all of us should have. That somthing is heart. We all forget somtimes that he sport you play is simply a game. It may seem like its more cause of our pride and our sense of rooting for the best, but really its put into perspective when somthing like this happens. You decided to play yesterday and you, without anyone questioning you, could of skip the match. The fact that you made the decsion and for whatever reasons you did decide I am greatful as a fan you did. As a human being, I applaud you for your maturity and heart in the face of such sadness. You are a fine player and a fine young man that many people could and should look up to. I am deeply sorry for your loss and wish to say that there will always be people to talk to and help you through this tough time.

Jack, with your courage and dignity on Wednesday night, you showed us all what a incredible person and player you are. West Ham should be truly proud to have you as a player, as should all genuine fans. By rising above all that was going on that night, especially under the circumstances, was humbling for any right-minded individual. The mindless thugs who caused so much violence and bile, can only have made what must have been a most difficult occasion for you som much worse. Your response reminded me why I have been a West Ham fan for as long as I can remember. Thank you for showing many out there what it really means to be part of our great club. Jack,
You showed true spirit and strength to play in Tuesday nights match, not only did you play outstanding in the game, you showed true spirit for the club and didn’t seem to be affected on what was going on in the terraces which marred the game. Not only was I suprised to see your name in the squad for the match, I was then suprised further to see your name in the starting line up but I was glad that you played and I praise you for your attitude towards what was occuring whilst you was playing. You showed not only that you wanted to fight for the team and win this fierce encounter but you showed courage commitment and dignity for such a young lad and played the whole game out through the troublesome times for both you prior to the game and the events during the game. By doing so, your dad im sure will be very proud you and he will be proud of what you have achieved so far and im sure will achieve in many years to come.

I too know what its like to lose your father at such an early age, but i never had to put up with the pressures you had on that night. You handled yourself fantastically and no doubt you father would be very proud.
This will only make you a stronger man quicker, and you will mature quicker as a player. You could become one of the all time greats at West Ham. Condolances to you and your family. Keep your chin up and make the whole family proud. (that includes US your West Ham family)

I was amazed that you made yourself available for the game on Tuesday night with the events that happened 48 hours previously. It is so refreshing to see a young man so committed to his club in these money-grabbing times, I would love to see you at Upton Park for the remainder of your career. Jack, you played out of your skin & really deserved the goal you so were so cruely denied by the post, I know your Dad would have so rightly proud.
Jack you are a legend & my thoughts are with you & your family at this time, you will never forget your Dad but the pain will get easier to take.
Best wishes Chris Cooper.

To lose your father like that and still turn out to play for West Ham just two days later was incredible as no one could have blamed you if you never played under those circumstances. You are a true gent and will always be a hero to me. I would like to wish you and your family my deepest heart felt condolences and my thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad and difficult time. God Bless and we love ya!

im a hammers fan of 45 years and i am so proud of jack collison, the courage he showed in playing for west ham the other night was very humbling, he is just a young man and he could well have hidden away but he didnt, jack you are a credit to yourself and your family and particularly your dad.
