Martin O’Neill has quit and been seen at Upton Park?

They’re only vicious rumours flying around the internet at the moment (from sources including a journalist at the Times) but it is fast spreading that Martin O’Neill has quit Aston Villa…and has been seen at Upton Park.

There’s no confirmation on either and I’m by no means confirming it here, but that’s what’s being said!

UPDATE1: Considering we’re playing the Aston Villa reserves tonight, I guess him being at Upton Park is no real shock! No smoke without fire, and there’s the fire. (thanks to krf for pointing this, now blindingly obvious point, out!)

UPDATE2: Stan Collymore is saying that “Martin O’Neill is going nowhere…trust me”  A rumour produced and squashed in the matter of minutes. Must be nothing negative to write about West Ham in the press today

  2. A day and a bit too early for an April Fools… I’d love to see O’ Neill at Upton Park, but it won’t happen, let’s be honest.

    • The only way this could happen if O’neill hit his had losing his long term memory. He was waiting around in a hospital and bought a paper, with a story ’bout West Ham on the back pages in colour … the claret and blue jogged his memory up to a point, but he’d already associated himself as the West Ham manager, lol.
OK, it’s a crap story but so is this rumour! :P
