Earlier today, William Hill slashed the odds of Allardyce getting being the next manager to leave their post.

Not so long ago, he was sacked.

Bookies have now slashed the odds of him becoming the next West Ham manager to 3-1.

  1. better than grant but i’d rather martin jol and chris houghton revive their partnership, when they was at spuds it seemed like a good atmosphere and they were enjoying their football which we haven’t done since zola got the boot, they didnt have the cutting edge to clinch that champions league spot but lets be honest we wouldnt be grumbling if we were finishing top half
whatever happens gotta be before january so the new man can recruit new personell we need fullbacks that can defend
and a goal scorer i’d seriously be badgering sir alex for michael owen

  2. I can see your point, we have played boring football of and on under Sam since he arrived. However, ebery once in a while (which I’ll grant you is not enough) Sam’s team played good football, combining the big hoof with some thoughful attacking play.
If you got Sam now, I’m fairly sure you’d stay up.
One thing you have got now is a greater chance of 3 points at the weekend, we are the sort of team that rolls over on a setback and lacks confidence at every opportunity. This is probably why we played so much percentage hoofball under Sam. The Hammers have a history of self belief (or so it seems from my northerly persepective) so if he comes your way I think you’ll become more resolute (yes with more long balls and greater importance put on set plays) but will continue to try to keep as much as possible on the deck.
In Parker and Cole you have the two key ingredients that robbed Sam of a real chance to keep the ball on the turf.
I bet Benni Macarthy won’t be too pleased though.
